Well, here it is... Who am I, where did I come from, and how did I make my way into porn? Somehow, I always knew I was going to be in the adult industry I just didn't know when it would happen. As a young girl I always told myself I would pose nude in Playboy, but I thought about doing movies. And yet, here I am. This is how it happened.

I was born in Los Angeles on August 30th, a Southern California summer baby ready to take the journey that life had in store for me. As a child I was very spoiled being the only grandchild in the family. My family is from Cuba, making me the first generation to be born in the states. I was raised in a very traditional manner by my mother (with the help of my wonderful grandparents) until she remarried. My childhood was very memorable, and I think my parents did a wonderful job raising me considering the little hellion that I was. We were always doing family things; traveling, taking vacations, and just hanging out, and we're still very close.

My parents worked a lot, so I was frequently alone, too. That's when I would get into trouble. I was always into music, and dancing was always a major passion in my life. I would spend hours dancing around in my room pretending I was in videos or making up my own moves. I was smart kid in school, my grades were good, but there were times when I did slack off... talked too much... ditched class...

I originally wanted to be a marine biologist before I realized what the job really was... but modeling was something I also had a passion for. I began posing nude in front of the mirror or my girlfriends, and I would do mini photo shoots in my room. I loved feeling sexy for the camera, and liked that it could be captured in a photo. I didn't really know what I was doing, just that I loved to be sexy. What girl doesn't?

My mother realized it too. She was always scolding me to put my clothes back on and calling me an exhibitionist. Funny how things ended up! I was really boy crazy too, even when I was little. My first French kiss was in 4th grade during P.E. The whole class knew about it and waited for me and the boy in the back of the field. Some serious peer pressure. I lost my virginity in high school during freshman year to a junior who I was madly in love with before I figured out there was more dick out there! High school was an interesting time in my life. I was a cheerleader and hung out with the popular crowd. Everyone knew who I was and I was well-liked by most of my classmates.

For me, cheerleading was my escape from my parents who had become very strict, which naturally led to me being more rebellious. I always had boyfriends. I remember one... well, two, in particular, mainly because my stepfather caught me in bed with them which wasn't a good thing. For that I was sent to Catholic school for my sophomore and junior years. I was a bad girl! I was the wild child, ready for anything. I always had a plan and my friends always followed!

Amazingly, I graduated high school and went on to working full time jobs with my mother. She kept a tight reign on me and never let out of her sight. I lived at home till I was 21 when I finally saved enough money to move to Redondo Beach with a girlfriend.

Freedom! I worked as a bill collector for American Express, and met a part-time photographer who also worked in the office. He kept asking me if I had wanted to take pictures and finally I agreed. To my surprise I liked the way they came out and suggested we do some nudes. I was nervous but excited to see myself naked thru someone else's eyes.

I ended up loving the way I looked, and when he suggested I get into adult modeling through some of his connections, I jumped at the chance, and landed in the nasty world of porn!

It was September of 1998 when I met an agent who started introducing me to the business. I couldn't believe I was actually doing adult movies. I chose the name Lola because I loved Madonna, and her daughter's name was Lola, short for Lourdes Maria. I also figured since I was Cuban I wanted my name to represent my heritage... so Lola it was.

I've never regretted getting into the business. If I hadn't, I wouldn't be the person I am today. I love my job. It has its ups and downs (so to speak), but what job doesn't? Sometimes I wonder how all this happened. Was my brain that powerful when I was younger, always thinking of men and sex, masturbating, that it led me here? Having control over your sexuality, even at such a young age, gives you power over people... has that control manifest as what I am today?
